Star Wars X-Wing - Character and Ship Guide - VT-49 Decimator

This ship will likely go over a few peoples heads as it was never established as part of the larger universe or canon and has only sparingly appeared in other media.  The VT-49 Decimator was created as an evil version of the Millennium Falcon for the Empire.  Originally being part of the now cancelled Star Wars Galaxies Jump to lightspeed expansion.  As such this was an unexpected ship to be added to X-Wing, but not an unwelcome one.

Faction: Galactic Empire
Name: VT-49 Decimator
Statistics ÷
Primary Weapon Value: 3
Agility: 0
Hull: 12
Shields:4

The VT-49 was a mainstay of Imperial fleets, often used as reconnaissance or picket vessels to screen the fleet and detect advancing enemy fleets or raiding vessels.  The ship is also a powerful raider, being used to smash through enemy blockades and cause massive damage behind their lines.  Its seen as something of an accomplishment for Imperial junior and middle ranked officers to gain command of a Decimator since it is seen as a stepping stone to becoming a fully fledged capital ship commander.

All VT-49 Decimator pilots are capable of performing the (Focus) and (Target Lock) actions.

Lets face it, this costs a lot of squad points to field just the basic version of this ship.  Granted though its a horrendous damage sponge and gives back some nasty fire to Alliance pilots.  Its lack of any agility points without the use of modifications means it is meant to soak damage for the other squad mates to focus on taking down their opponents.  The VT49 however has good speed being able move forward 4 and capable of taking extremely sharp turns to avoid fire or attack more agile fighters when they least suspect it.  It is also highly customisable with many crew choices available at this point along with its ability to carry bombs and torpedoes, this ship alone could take close to 60 squad points to be a real beast on the field.
