Star Wars X-Wing - Character and Ship Guide - B-Wing

Being a little biased here but this is my favourite ship of the expansion by far.  The B-Wing looks freaking amazing and I can't wait to get more.  The B-Wing is the Rebel counterpart to the Empire's TIE Bomber.  Heavy, slow and easy to hit the B-Wing makes up for it by having plenty of firepower and takes a mammoth amount of damage for a fighter before going down.

Faction: Rebel Alliance
Name: B-Wing Assault Starfighter
Statistics ÷
Primary Weapon Value: 3
Agility: 1
Hull: 3
Shields: 5

Developed in coordination between Verpine engineers and Alliance personnel the B-Wing was designed to attack Imperial capital ships with an array of heavy weapons and Ion fire.  The idea was that a squadron of B-Wings could overwhelm enemy deflectors and bring them down entirely.  Built upon a modular design to allow for multiple loadouts for differing mission types.  It suffers from similar issues to that of the Y-Wing namely having a larger profile, slower speeds but more than makes up for it through it's combat versatility.

All B-Wing's are capable of performing the (Focus), (Target Lock) and (Barrel Roll) abilities.

Suffice to say B-Wing characters are expensive to deploy with Ten Numb being the most expensive Rebel fighter pilot yet, only beaten by Han Solo in a much larger vessel.  Still the B-Wing does bring along a nice number of benefits with the same number of hits as the Y-Wing but more damage to give back in return.  Couple that with the ships ability to use sensor upgrades and heavy weapons and you have a pretty capable fighter.  B-Wing's won't win a fight on their own but mixed with X-Wings and A-Wings it can prove devastating to unwary Imperial players.  Ten Numb's ability to force a single critical hit when you score one is potentially lethal to any TIE hit which explains his high cost.  Ibtisam is OK as a cheaper alternative but it depends on how you want your squad.  He works well in a squad aiming to survive where Ten Numb is better suited to aggressive tactics.
